Titles - Adobe Premiere Editing (Practice titles)

Title 1
This style of credit contains a white faded font, the font is in a sophisticated style which is based on a style of typed writing used for formal areas such as newspapers, letters and other things in the 1900s. This is a relevant text style because our video is set during the 1970s and it makes the film more believable since due to the context.
The title is surrounded by a long oval-like ring with a red outline and a faded white colour fill in the middle, this gives the effect of eeriness that represents the 'other side' where the demons come from in movies, this foreshadows the evil presence in the rest of the movie.
As the title enters the screen there the title flashes onto the screen and flashes off a few seconds later which gives the effect of a kind of ‘spontaneous presence’ which is a feature that appears in a lot of horror films as the antagonist appears on the screen to scare the audience even when the character hasn’t noticed him or her.

Title 2
This title has a red background with red in the left corner that fades into a black colour. The style used creates a blood spill effect and the saturation of the red that gets darker from up to down or left to right shows that there will be scenes that may contain blood in the rest of the movie. To add to the blood effect there is a ‘fade in’ motion as the title appears on screen to make the blood seem like it is pouring from a fresh victim. Blood is common in movies because it is used to intrigue the audience or to scare them.
The font has a shadow that is from a distance away from the title in the foreground. The shadow represents a ‘stalker’ or ‘watcher’ that hides from the antagonist and stays there to attack the target. The shadow can have an alternate meaning where it represents the dark or darker side of a character in the movie, this is common in many movies because the revelations of a character happen towards the end of a movie that is used to shock the audience.
Title 3
This title has a font that has a thickness that represents human skeleton bones which create a creepy effect and the blurred white represents a ghostly presence, the juxtaposition of the 2 entities represent the supernatural theme.

The blur of the title also represents the mystery of the movie because in many horror movies there is a missing identity of the villain, they blur symbolises the area that is hidden in the plot and foreshadows that that character in the title is involved as a possible antagonist in the movie.
